Workshops are free, open to the public and held at Monte Vista Middle School unless noted otherwise.

Wildlife Photography - A New Adventure - Dave Showalter

Covers basic camera operation, composition & photographing wildlife. Bring a camera w/zoom, tripod, hat, water, sunscreen, warm clothes & boots. (Cost $25, meet at MV Refuge Office.)

Conserving Land & Water - Rio Grande Headwater Trust

Learn about local partnerships that protect working lands and water in the valley including vital habitat for wildlife and birds.

Presentation about the geology, ecology and numerous tributaries that create the Rio Grande as well as the human connection to the river.

Shriver - Wright SWA Dedication

This dedication will honor Dourg Shriver and Ray Wright by renaming a portion of the RG State Wildlife Area. This new SWA lies west of County Road 3 across from the Rio Grande WSA. Parking is available on both sides of the road. All are welcome.
